STDCT Identifier & Launch (2023)
Tropical Data Centre
Co-Innnovation Hub
The Sustainable Tropical Data Centre Testbed (STDCT) is an innovation hub co-hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). It brings together an advanced research team to study about data solutions in our tropical environment. The Hub presents a new visual identity for the centre as it welcomes its launch event in 2023.
01
A New Visual Identity
The Hub was responsible for designing the refreshed identity of STDCT, where a new identifier and visual vocabulary will be used following their official launch in 2023.

The identifier adopts a clean and contemporary design, reflecting modernity and professionalism. The separate elements coming together symbolises a collaborative roadmap between NUS, NTU, and research partners, bridging the gaps in sustainable technology practices. The choice of navy blue conveys a strong sense of stability and security, aligning perfectly with our commitment to reliable and secure solutions.
02
Launch Video — Motion Design
STDCT presents an exciting launch video to countdown to the official opening of the centre. The Hub animated an upbeat sequence to be officially presented during the launch.
03
Microsite Development
The STDCT microsite was designed in line with the NUS corporate identity, while including elements of the new visual system.
04
Photography

Using the newly refreshed identity, panels and slides were created in accordance with the brand manual, providing the centre with a whole new suite of applications for the launch.
