NUS Cities is an interdisciplinary entity with 3 pillars: education, research and advisory service in urban systems and solutions. It also serves as a research hub in the National University of Singapore for Sustainable Urban Solutions and Cities, comprising a collective expertise in Engineering, Urban Planning and Design, Sociology, Economics and Real Estate.

Identifier
The Hub designed the identifier for NUS Cities across a month of iterations and testing. The final mark best represented the structural integrity of the entity's research ethos — held up by three pillars of education, research and advisory service, while
also calling to mind a cityscape of skyscrapers.

Kinetic Mark
As most collaterals live digitally, the Hub animated the identifier in various ways for each iteration of the logo to allow for usage in social media and other online material. The dynamic energy of the mark is expressed through the animation of the elements, which bring to mind growing buildings and city lights.

Applications
The scalable vocabulary of the identifier also allows it to be used across a variety of applications, such as door signage, lanyards
and physical report, while maintaining the brand identity of the research hub.
